GSA All In One POS Technology

GSA All In One POS Technology is a maturing industry. The original infrared touch screen technology was based on "legacy" technology. The new systems use Resistive or Capacitive touch systems. Infrared technology has proven its worth in ATMs, Food Service, KIOSK, Control Systems and Transportation applications. One secret to the success is that it does not use any "overlay" that may inhibit screen clarity.

Learn More About Our All In One POS Systems

GSA All In One POS Technology uses LCD. The controller circuitry scans the screen with a lattice of infra-red beams that directs pulses to the LCD sensors. When the LCDs are interrupted, they are translated into data. This technology has proven to be reliable over the last few years in ATMS and the food service.

POS are dedicated workstations connected with input devices that collect data, and a network that manipulates the data into reports in 'real time.' The GSA All in One POS systems have evolved faster than most technology. This is in part to the use of touchscreens, as well as trading the old cash register system for a PC based system.

The question is no longer, 'Is my business ready for a computer based POS system?' The question is now, 'Which one is right for my business.' The advances in POS systems are improving the technology at a faster rate than most businesses can keep up with, but it isn't 'one size fits all,' yet.

Each service industry needs to determine their base needs. Different systems focus on different benefits. A high-powered system designed for a high traffic supermarket will focus on security, strong cash boxes, and failsafe data protection. A thin clerk, or book sized PC system is suitable in a boutique where the floor designer wants to eliminate the 'sales station' all together and create a relaxed atmosphere. Both are possible with both of today's POS stations.

The basic all-in-one system is designed to keep all operations in one place. The new generation are employing touchscreens and built-in barcode readers. Hand held barcode readers and keyboards can cost serious problems in a high traffic environment. Scanners vary greatly, and can have a dramatic effect on the POS systems' effectiveness.

Restaurant POS systems pose a new set of problems. They do not require barcode readers, but the menu can change two to three times a day - several days a week. The system must be able to reprogram itself, instantly. They also need to include station-present time clocks, member card readers, and be able to network into multi-station systems, with a back office network.

Success in the hospitality industry depends on management's ability to gain control over costs and profits. However, customer service, speed and accuracy, and theft prevention are as important as they are in any other industry. Hostels often have a gift shop, spa, entertainment, retail, room service. Today's systems can be integrated into one network that automatically closes the till at night, calculates payroll, and manages inventory.

The GSA All In One POS systems can be customized to fit the needs of most service industry and retail sectors making life easier for management and increase profits for investors.
