Learn More About Our POS Hardware

The touch screen terminal has been a popular fixture in restaurants for the past few years. However, the first models are fast becoming obsolete as technology is improving both their hardware and software.

Technology is offering business the ability to fingerprint their cash drawers. They include multifunction locks and drawer status reporting that were once found only in the top models. They offer several levels of security. They work with POS peripherals to ensure the drawer remains secure.

Lockable panels protect access to disk drives, preventing unauthorized activities that may be used to remove, corrupt, or copy the customer database, inventory, or download a virus into the system. Locks also protect access to the On/Off switch, preventing improper shut down that can corrupt the database and software.

Locked integration decks prevent components from being tampered with or stolen. Removable locking lid facilitates transport & storage. A key, in case of emergencies, backs up the software-controlled security. All of this is backed up by a security feature, which is completely hidden by connection to a master POS processor. This can detect chassis openings and intrusion into unauthorized sections of the cash drawer.

Everything in the cash drawer is designed to reduce tampering, unauthorized opening, and theft. Today's computer based POS service systems are designed to speed up check out, reduce error, and improve customer service.

The POS Hardware is shrinking, reducing its footprint, leaving more room on counters. Touch screens are eliminating the need for large keyboards and reducing the service system's footprint. The new technology is built to survive everything from coffee spills to attempted theft. They even come with connectivity incorporated within the monitor, reducing the power bricks and communication cables. When combined with lock out, it is now possible to create a POS terminal for public use.

All of this can be encased within the monitor stand. A well defined system can open the counter, almost eliminating the imposing presence of old terminals.

Security cameras have also become a fundamental part of the POS equipment. Software can combine sensors, cash drawers, and security cameras. When the software registers an unauthorized entry into the cash drawer, or a drawer that remains open after the sale, the software can turn the camera on to record the activity.

Replacing cash registers with book sized PCs and touchscreen provides the reseller with functionality and expandability. The new generation of POS hardware combines end-user reliability with security to empower today's business community.
