Warranty Coverage & RMA Service Terms

1.1 Standard Warranty Coverage


Touch Dynamic warrants that each covered product will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for the applicable term below, starting from the original invoice date:

  • First 60 Days: Defective products will be replaced by Touch Dynamic.
  • After 60 Days: Defective products will be repaired Touch Dynamic in accordance with this policy.
  • Replacement products inherit the original warranty expiration date.
  • Valid to North American customers who have purchased this product from Touch Dynamic or from an Authorized Touch Dynamic Reseller in the U.S.A., Canada or Mexico.

This warranty excludes and does not cover:

  • Products beyond their warranty term.
  • Damage due to misuse, abuse, accidents, or neglect.
  • Damage from connection to improper power sources.
  • Operation/storage outside environmental specifications. (See Spec Sheets)
  • Missing, altered, or defaced serial number labels.
  • Unauthorized repairs or modifications.
  • Cosmetic damage that does not affect function.
  • Consumables and accessories not specifically covered.
  • Force majeure events (natural disasters, acts of war, terrorism, etc.).
  • Any costs to ship products to Touch Dynamic.
  • Damage due to improper packaging, handling or shipment of product by the licensee and/or their agents.

 

1.2 No Fault Service Plan Coverage (Mobile POS Only)

This coverage is only available for:

 Mobile Devices Quest Series & Fusion Hybrid 1, 2, or 3 year terms 


No Fault Service coverage must be purchased within 30 days of the original product purchase. Additional coverage may be purchased annually, provided the renewal is completed at least 30 days prior to the expiration of the current plan, up to a maximum of three (3) years. 

This plan covers:

  • Normal wear-and-tear.
  • Accidental drops, cracked screens, broken ports, buttons, and connectors.
  •  One (1) LCD or motherboard replacement per unit, per coverage year.

This plan excludes coverage on:

  • Lost accessories and consumables.
  • Shipping costs to Touch Dynamic.
  • Damage from improper power, unauthorized repair, or intentional destruction.
  • Third Party Hardware

 

1.3 Extended Warranty Coverage

  • Only available for Touch Dynamic manufactured products.
  • Adds one (1) or two (2) years to the Standard Warranty term.
  • Must be purchased before the Standard Warranty expires.
  • Coverage mirrors the Standard Warranty’s terms and exclusions, with exception of:
    •  Batteries, battery packs, or battery-related components
    • Non-Touch Dynamic manufactured products (e.g., Printers and Cash Drawers)
  • Non-transferable and not retroactive.

 

1.4 Advanced Replacement Coverage

Touch Dynamic offers optional advanced replacement and enhanced warranty service programs which are not included in the standard or No-Fault coverage described herein. Customers interested in such services should consult with their Touch Dynamic sales representative for eligibility, terms, and pricing.

2. Service Process

2.1 RMA Requirement

All warranty claims require a Touch Dynamic–issued RMA number. Contact Support via phone at (888) 508-6824 or contact tech support here.

2.2 Turnaround Time

Touch Dynamic will use reasonable efforts to repair or replace within 10 business days for No Fault Warranty and 15 business days for Standard and Extended Warranty of receipt. Delays will be communicated.

2.3 Replacement Policy

If a product is discontinued, Touch Dynamic may replace it with a comparable model of equal or greater value and/or functionality.

Customer Responsibilities

  • Proper Use: Operate the product only within published specifications.
  • Self-Repair: Unapproved repairs by non-Touch Dynamic or non-approved service providers may void coverage. Any additional damage from self-repair will be billable for both parts and labor.
  • Returned Parts Evaluation: If returned components are damaged by misuse, incorrect installation, or mishandling, the customer will be charged the full cost regardless of active coverage.
  • International Customers: Customers located outside of the United States are responsible for all international shipping costs associated with warranty or service claims. This includes, without limitation, freight charges, customs duties, taxes, tariffs, brokerage fees, and any other import/export-related costs. Touch Dynamic will not prepay or reimburse these expenses.


Out of Warranty Service Rates

  • Systems/Tablets: $125 flat labor fee + parts.
  • Printers: $55 flat labor fee + parts.
  • Parts utilized in repairs carry a 60-day warranty.
  • If repair is denied, labor fee still applies.
  • If repair cannot be completed due to end-of-life part availability, labor fee is waived and an alternative Product may be offered for purchase.
  • Customers will be quotes the charges in advance for approval and customers will be asked for the method of payment for repairs.
